Recently Sun has added a new CNC lathe to our facility. This machine is a Yama Seiki GS-460L CNC Lathe. This machine will compliment both our larger CNC lathes as well as some of our smaller ones. It has a 8.07" spindle hole that will allows to "swallow" longer parts and keep the rigidity in our set up's to allow us to machine efficiently and accurately. We have also installed a 25" 4 jaw manual chuck to allow us the flexibility to handle and machine non symmetrical parts as well as symmetrical parts and have the option of adding another chuck to the back of the head stock if a job requires more than one chuck.
This is the third machine tool manufactured by Yama Seiki that we have added to our company. We have found the Yama Seiki line of machine tools to be very solid, accurate and dependable machines.

During late 2005, due to the continued growth of the Company and the constraints of expansion on the existing Day Road site, the decision was taken to look for a location to build a new facility. In March 2006 land and buildings on Charles Street were purchased and plans were started for building additional Workshop space. The existing buildings were to be used for Offices and the Manual Machine Shop. In April 2007, the move to Charles Street took place.
